Who we are

Pamoja Yawezekana CBO is a community-based organisation founded on 29 August 2022 and dully registered in the year 2024 by the Directorate of Social Development under the Community Groups Registration Act, No. 20 of 2022. Based in Kilifi, its focus is to support the children, youth, persons with disability, women and girls, and elderly persons through capacity building activities to acquire knowledge, skills, networks and motivation that will contribute to their improved living standards and human dignity.

Our target population

Our target population are the children, adolescents and young people, persons with disabilities, women and girls, and elderly persons.

Our area of operation

We operate in Kilifi County, Kenya. Covering Kilifi North, Kilifi South, Magarini, Ganze and neighboring counties when need arises.

Our objectives

At Pamoja Yawezekana CBO, we believe that lasting change begins within our communities. Guided by the spirit of togetherness, we empower people to build better lives through education, economic empowerment, health awareness, and environmental stewardship. Our programs bring hope and opportunity to vulnerable families, youth, and community groups.

• Economic Empowerment
  We empower community groups through microfinance, savings, and loans to boost income-generating activities, support entrepreneurship, and develop sustainable projects that improve livelihoods and reduce poverty.
• Support for Vulnerable Groups
  We work to enhance the well-being of persons living with children, adolescents and young people, persons with disabilities, women and girls, and elderly persons by providing care, education, rehabilitation, and a safe space for growth and development through our community resource initiatives.
• Education and Lifelong Learning
  We promote education through reading programs and school partnerships that improve literacy, performance, and career development opportunities for children and youth.
• Youth and Community Engagement
  We strengthen our communities by engaging young people in mentorship, leadership training, civic participation, and social events that build unity, confidence, and active citizenship.
• Health and Social Well-being
  We raise awareness and provide support on mental health, substance abuse, gender-based violence, and related social issues to promote safety, dignity, and healthy living.
• Environmental Conservation
  We champion environmental protection and climate action through tree planting, mangrove restoration, and eco-friendly projects such as community-led ecotourism initiatives.
